Day 1 – Transfer to M’Hamid | Night in a Fixed Camp
In the morning, departure from your riad or hotel towards the High Atlas Mountains. Crossing the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), with several stops along the way to admire the breathtaking landscapes and take memorable photos.
We then visit the famous Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site near Ouarzazate, renowned for its remarkable architecture and rich history.
Continuing south, the scenery gradually changes as we enter the gateway to the Sahara. Arrival at the fixed camp is scheduled for the early evening, where a traditional Moroccan dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await you.
Day 2 – Camel Trek to Sidi Naji (3h30–4h) | Nomadic Bivouac
After meeting your Bedouin team, your camel caravan sets off towards the dunes of Sidi Naji.
During the trek, a lunch break will be enjoyed in the shade of a tamarisk tree, offering a pleasant moment of rest in the heart of the desert.
In the afternoon, we visit the marabout of Sidi Naji, a historic and spiritual site linked to a revered local saint who lived here more than a century ago.
By the end of the day, we set up camp near the dunes. Discover the organization of Bedouin life, help collect wood for the campfire, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the desert at sunset. Dinner and overnight in a nomadic bivouac.
Day 3 – Camel Trek to Erg Zahar (3h30–4h) | Nomadic Bivouac
Today’s destination is the magnificent Erg Zahar, often considered one of the most beautiful dunes in the Moroccan Sahara.
Our trek begins early in the morning, following the gentle rhythm of the camels across vast desert landscapes. As the day progresses, the scenery becomes increasingly wild and remote.
The landscape is almost lunar, with the immense dune of Erg Zahar dominating the horizon. From its summit, a breathtaking 360° panorama unfolds over the Sahara, stretching towards the Algerian border.
At sunset, the magical colors of the dunes create an unforgettable spectacle. In the evening, you may choose to sleep under a sky filled with stars or in the comfort of your tent.
Day 4 – Camel Trek to Ain Rimth (3h30) | Nomadic Bivouac
The adventure continues towards Ain Rimth. Walking through varied desert landscapes, we reach a peaceful area where lunch is served beneath the tamarisk trees.
This region is known for its wildlife, and with a little luck, we may spot a herd of wild dromedaries roaming freely across the desert.
In the late afternoon, we arrive at the foot of the Douib dunes, where our nomadic camp is established for the night. Enjoy another evening of traditional cuisine, storytelling around the campfire, and the serenity of the Sahara.
Day 5 – Return to the Fixed Camp & Transfer Back
After a final morning walk through the desert, we return to the fixed camp, where you can enjoy a refreshing shower and some time to relax.
Before departure, a final glass of traditional mint tea is served, offering a last opportunity to soak in the unique atmosphere of the Sahara.
Then begins the transfer back to Marrakech, Ouarzazate, or Agadir, with arrival expected in the evening, bringing this unforgettable desert adventure to a close.
